Greg, first, the prior posts I replied to (the PATH capture and the PDF issue), I do hope these benefit other users, because to me they've been fantastic
QUESTOIN on upgrades I have Hypersnap installed on a USB stick (encrypted). Also Hypercam
if new versions come out (especially Hypersnap ) and I install it on my computer - what is the easiest way to get it onto my usb stick?
can I just copy the whole c:\program files\hypersnap or c:\program files\hypercam
folder (or contents) and paste itto the USB stick, overwriting the prior files?
will this leave the license file intact (especially for HyperCAM, since that does not reside normally in the program folder?)
thanks Nick

Copying the files as you describe will work just fine. If your license file is on USB stick, but not in Program Files folder, that should not affect the copy process - just don't delete the files on USB stick before copying the new ones.

i am creating a usb stick, with executable programs on it; hypersnap, my password programs, email program, password manager, etc. what I ahve done is created a TrueCrypt vault, and inside it is all the programs that can run as standlones. i then keep trueCrypt executable, in the root directory of the usb stick itself.
this way, all my licensed programs are protected; i then run the truecrypt program, mount the "usb-stick-truecrypt-vault", and this then unlocks the pprograms, to operate for me. works well, and protects my license keys, passwords,e tc

Great, good solution, Nick! I did not use TrueCrypt so far, but maybe I'll find a use for it myself as well!
