Hello
I have installed Win7. Working on two screen. Textsnap wont work on certain page when Clear type option is selected.
EX: On Windows Explorer page, no problem. On Windows Help and support, wont work.
If i unselect Clear type option, no problem. But doing so, i reduce the clarity of text on the screen
Any solution?

So far I don't have a good solution, I'd have to try this myself. Please tell me exactly in which window it won't work, "Windows Help" has many versions. For example, I just tried it on HyperSnap 6 help window, Clear type enabled, no problem. Once I can reproduce the trouble here, I may be able to find a solution.

Hello
Soory for the late answer, i was away.
Did some test with and without clear type. Work ok with clear type enabled in Office documents and still failed using trading application. Since the text capture application using Textsnap that i developped is for trading purpose, i'm in trouble.
Actual failing application is : SonrayTrader.
I will try to find other applications where Textsnap failed in clear type mode.

Which software development platform did you use to develop your application? Can I download somewhere a demo version of it so that I could reproduce the problem here? Or if it's developed with MS Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 (which I have) - tell me which kind of project did you select there, what settings you used - I could replicate this with a small demo program then and see what I could do about it.

Hello Greg
Yes you could download a demo @ http://sonray.com.au/info/free-download
Fill-up the information box by giving any name and a false email adress ( system won't check). You will be given a demo valid for 20 days.
The application that i developped is in VBA, and this one is not in problem.

Martin, I have SonrayTader v.2 now installed and running in demo mode. I have ClearType enabled, and still TextSnap works for me in every panel of SonrayTrader where I test it... What should I do to reproduce the problem? BTW, this is on Windows 7 final, x64 Ultimate release.

Hi again Greg
Same installation, Win 7 Pro 64 bit
On Sonray Tool Bar, Select/ Tool / Charts
A new EURUSD 30 Min charts should be display in the buttom of the screen. This is the problematic window. Try to grab the text inside the chart. It surly don't work on my side. And yes it work in the window of Sonray application
Using Textsnap, my text capture macro will cath the High,LOw,Open,Close price in the square box. Work perfectly when cleartype not enabled

Thank you, Martin. I'll try to figure this out. So far I know _why_ this happens, but still no idea how to fix this.

I'm working on it, Martin. I have no idea why it works one way and not the other, or suddenly stops working, but I believe I should have a solution later this week, regardless of ClearType being enabled.

I understand we got it working now, Martin. The change will appear in the upcoming version 6.63 or 6.70, whatever I finally call it. Thank you for your help!
