256 color playback only?

Just purchased the product - love it !

Question, I have adjusted my settings many ways and finally made the message go away that the frame rate is too high etc.

Now it seems that the AVI I am recording to is only playing back at 256 color?

My screen is set to 1024x768 16 bit. Recording works.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure what do you mean by "only playing back at 256 color"... Do you mean that you must set your Windows desktop into 256 color mode to play a movie? Or that the movie is recorded in 256 colors, but plays in any color mode? Please describe the problem in a lot of detail. If you want, you may also email me a short AVI movie that you can not play back in more than 256 colors for inspection. You may email it to support@hyperionics.com

Maybe he's got the same problem that i encounter...

Let's say i've got a static 16million color image.
Now how to record in 32 bit mode?
Let's do a "Full Frames (Uncompressed)" capture...

Then watching the result, i'm getting not what i recorded but something that looks like a bad 256 color conversion...

So how to do a 32 bit capture?

Ok, now i know where the problem is...

It doesn't have to do with Hypercam. The bad look comes from my video cutting software ;-). Played with Media-Player (or after adjusting settings in the cutting software) everything's fine.
