When I load HyperSnap and press Scroll Lock, I get the pop-up screen for DirectX/Direct3D Glide Capture. Why is this and how do I get around it? To get screen shots, I use the Print Screen button. I never had problems with the Scroll Lock before in the three years I have owned this wonderful product. I am using version 4.30.01.
Just need some help to get it working smoothly again.

You can reconfigure your Hot keys under the options menu.

Thank you Karen. I tried that and everything else I can think of. Know matter what I do, every time I reload HyperSnap, and press Scroll Lock, I get the blasted DirectX/etc screen.
I will keep trying. I appreciate you responding. Any more suggestions?

Karen,
Thank you for responding. I have tried all of that and totally reconfigured and even uninstalled many times. Still no help. I have tried going back to earlier versions. Not far back, that is next step. I am really spending alot of time with this and hope someone can help me. This is driving me insane. Well, I guess I was insane before this. But I would like to get this taken care of.
Thank you,
MrBones

Please do this:
- Select "Capture/Enable Special Capture" from HyperSnap-DX menu - Click to remove the check mark in all check boxes at the top of "DirectX/Direct3D" window, that is remove the check mark from "DirectX/Direct3D Primary Surface" and "DirectX Overlay...", also from "3dfx Glide", if it's enabled. - Click OK and it should not bother you any more.

Thank you for your response Greg. I did as you instructed but now it doesn't capture unless I use the Print Screen key. Which I guess is fine as long as it still captures in all games. Do you see any captures that will be effected?
Thanks again. By the way, why this behavior all of a sudden? It worked perfectly up until recently. Just curious.

I really don't know what happened on your machine. On every other machine I can test it, the "Special Capture" dialog box comes up if you press "Scroll Lock" only if HyperSnap-DX has focus, is the active window. Obviously when you play a game, HS-DX is not the active window, and Scroll Lock does its job normally. Really don't understand what's going on your machine. Would have get hold of it, sit by your machine, to see what's wrong...

Thanks Greg,
I'm in the process of backing everything up and getting ready to fdisk. I usually do this every 6 months or so. Haven't done it at all on this new machine (August 2001). Preparing and am going to do it shortly. Will let you know if HyperSnap was fixed during the process. I have a feeling it will be fine as it usually takes care of abnormalities like this. I will let you know what I find if I can pin point something.
Have a good weekend.
